The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the appointment letters of 2018/2019 trained teachers backlog to various regions, a source close to the agency responsible for posting new teachers told EducationWeb on Wednesday.

“Be informed that the backlog of trained teachers for 2018/2019 has been released to the various regions. Kindly check your phone for alert,” the source familiar with the Ghana Education Service (GES) posting stated in an email.
The 2018/2019 teachers’ appointment letters come after the Minister for Education last month noted his outfit in due course will be given financial clearance for the majority of unposted trained teachers to be recruited into service.
Mr Yaw Adutwum in a meeting with the leadership of various Students Unions in mid-February this year said a special request has been submitted to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) for financial clearance to facilitate the postings.
He indicated that only newly trained teachers who have sat and passed the Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) and completed the one-year mandatory National Service will be considered for the forthcoming GES postings.
In a related development, the Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the third batch of leftover postings of the newly trained teachers who completed Colleges of Education (CoE) in 2020.
“The third batch of the Ghana Education Service (GES) posting for the 2020 leftover batch has been released. Colleges of Education (CoE) teachers are to check their dashboards,” the source told EducationWeb.com late last month.
