The 2021 private BECE registration portal has been closed for students who are age 16 years and above and candidates who had sat for the normal BECE but could not pass, WAEC announced on Friday, March 19, 2021.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in a blog post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh said the private BECE registration portal has been closed for registration which commenced January 11, 2021, nationwide.
It during the registration period requested failed BECE candidates to provide the Index number for the last sitting and the year they sat for BECE.
“First-time sitters of the private examination must be 16 years and above and are required to provide his/her date of birth during the registration,” the non-profit making organization added in the post.

According to the West African Examinations Council, the Private BECE registration is strictly done online at the Private BECE registration portal https://registration.ghanawaec.org/wassce/RegistrationClosed.aspx.
