The National Teaching Council (NTC) has opened the teacher portal https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh for private school teachers who will participate in the 5 days Common Core Programme (CCP) training which starts February 3.
The National Executive Director of the GNACOPS Mr Enoch Kwasi Gyetuah in an interview with Educationweb.com.gh said professional teachers are to register at the teacher portal to score CPD points for NTC licensing.
“Unprofessional private school teachers who will also successfully complete the training will be awarded a participatory certificate, a certificate he said will help the teachers in acquiring the NTC license,” he told Okyere Darko.
According to him, the Council has arranged for a participant to pay an amount of GH₵ 130.00 but private schools with more than one participants will pay a considerable GH₵ 100.00 per head as the CCP training fee.
“GNACOPS and the Teaching Council will jointly issue Certificate and ID Card to participants at the cost of GH₵ 20.00 each. These will serve as the basic certification for CPDs and Provisional Licence issuance by NTC.”
The Common Core Programme (CPP) training which would last for 5 days is expected to commence from Wednesday February 3 to Sunday February 7.
