Payton Gendron is a white teenager who murdered ten Black people and injured three more at a Buffalo grocery store. He was sentenced to life in jail with no chance of parole.

Payton Gendron appeared in Erie County Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to state charges of murder and domestic terrorism motivated by hatred in November. The charge of terrorism carries a mandatory life sentence.
According to investigators, the attack was fuelled by racist conspiracy theories he discovered online. Gendron delivered a brief speech in which he apologized before Judge Susan Eagan handed down the punishment, in which she recited each charge and the victims’ names.
Because of Gendron’s age at the time of the incident, it was unclear if his position as a youthful offender would be considered. Judge Eagan categorically denied this possibility.
“There was nothing hasty or thoughtless about your conduct,” Judge Eagan said. “There are no mitigating factors to be considered.” “There is no place for you or your ignorant, hateful, and evil ideologies.” There can be no mercy for you, no second chances. “You will never see the light of day as a free man again.”
For those who were harmed but survived, Gendron received additional, consecutive sentences. The judge gave each of them the maximum term of 25 years in prison.

Payton is currently 19 years old and serving a life sentence in prison.
His hatred for black people drove him to kill 13 people, ten of whom died, inside a Top Market supermarket in Buffalo. The two fatalities have been identified as Aaron Salter, a retired officer turned store security guard, and Ruth Whitfield, an 86-year-old grandmother.

The FBI is reportedly investigating Payton Gendron’s parents, the white supremacist adolescent who killed ten people at a Buffalo supermarket on Saturday, according to law enforcement sources.
Both civil engineers Paul and Pamela Gendron, who work for the state Department of Transportation, are assisting in the investigation.
From his home in Conklin, New York, where his family resides, the couple’s 18-year-old son allegedly traveled 200 miles to the Buffalo Tops Friendly Market, where the killing took place. Payton extensively investigated the neighborhood’s demographics in order to choose a largely black neighborhood.
Payton Gendron’s mental health
Early June 2021, authorities at Susquehanna Valley High School asked the New York State Police to assist them in looking into threats Payton Gendron, 18, of Conklin, NY, made to shoot other students.
Following the investigation by the police into the incident, Gendron was advised to get therapy and a mental health evaluation. According to his classmates, he occasionally displayed unusual behavior and expressed extreme political opinions.
