Cody Ince, a former Iowa Hawkeyes offensive lineman died at his home in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. He was 23 years old at the time of his death. He was found dead at his home on Saturday, 15 July 2023.

According to his obituary, no cause of death has been available yet but his death was unexpected.
He is survived by his fiancée Olivia Tucker, parents Tammy and Marty, and sister Carly.
Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz said in a statement obtained by USA Today, “I am incredibly sad to hear about Cody Ince’s sudden passing.” “Cody was a tremendous young man, valued teammate, and contributor to our program.”
He also described Cody’s love for football, “He loved football, fishing, and hunting, and believed in the importance of family and friendships. Cody was just beginning this next chapter of his life and was about to be married.”
From 2018 to 2021, he was the defensive lineman for the Iowas Hawkeyes and appeared in 29 games, starting 10. Ince had hoped to make it to the NFL, but injuries forced him to end his football career earlier than planned.
While playing for Iowa, Ince was even commended by the Big 10. In the 2020 Individual Awards, Ince was listed as an Honorable Mention, high praise in the world of college football.

Ince was survived by his parents, sister; Carly Ince, his maternal grandmother; Lola Royer, paternal grandmother; Betty Ince, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was also survived by his fiancée, Olivia Tucker, of Grantsburg, Wisconsin.
Not much is known about Tucker’s life because she often stays out of the spotlight and avoids posting things on social media but her Facebook page states that she attended Bemidji State University in Minnesota.
At this time, not much is known about how long they were together before his passing or how long they had been engaged.
