According to a TV3 reporter, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has said the nationwide debate on whether the Accra-based Achimota School should admit or reject the two dreadlocked students it had refused admission is a waste of time.

Speaking in a short interview with the Parliamentary Correspondent of the Accra-based TV station the Bosomtwe Member of Parliament said other countries are tirelessly working on how to land on planet Mars.

For Ghana, the teaching Minister indicated the country is wasting precious time on discussion of the hairstyle of two 2020 BECE graduates.

“When people are busy researching how to go to Mars, we are wasting precious time on hair discussion,” Adutwum reportedly told the reporter.

But, Mr Kofi Asare in a social media post has asked the Minister of Education how Ghana as a country can also go to Mars when the Headmaster of St. Peter’s SHS has set up a barbering shop on campus.
