An Educationist following the release of the 2021 SHS placement has encouraged BECE graduates to welcome and accept any Senior High School they were automatically placed by the CSSPS saying “no school is bad.”
His comment comes after some automatically placed candidates at the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) complained of the Senior High School (SHS) saying “it was not their choice of school”
But, he in a social media post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh cautioned parents and candidates to be wary of some individuals parading as school placement contractors promising to change auto schools of candidates.
According to Mr Kofi Asare, once a candidate is placed or enrolled in a second-cycle school, he or she cannot change it again, hence no need to contact any person who claims to be staff of GES to change the placement.
“There are many scammers parading as SHS Placement Contractors, promising to change your ward’s school for you. Note that once auto- placed, you cannot change your school,” Mr Kofi Asare stated.
“Don’t fall victim to these scammers! They did it to many teachers during the teacher postings. They took GH 2,000 each and left them stranded,”
The Executive Director of Africa Education Watch said he attended Benkum Senior High School, even though he lived near the all boys and winners of the 2020 NSMQ Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (Presec), Legon.
For him, the school does not matter, its all about the attitude of the student.
“No school is bad; I attended Benkum SHS, even though i lived near Presec, Legon. Its all about attitude-student; parent,” He stated on social media.
