An Education Think Thank following the delay and postponement of the release of the 2020 SHS placement has quizzed the Management of the Ghana Education Service why the placement is still not out for students.
Africa Education Watch comments comes after the Director-General of GES, Prof Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa in an interview with UTV monitored by Educationweb.com.gh said the placement should be expected Sunday.
However, as of the time writing this post at 11:29 pm, the CSSPS websites, where the candidates will check their school have not been opened.
“You willfully issued a statement that the CSSPS will be opened today. No one compelled you to issue that statement. Its almost midnight, yet, nothing has happened all day. So why at all did you promise Sunday?” the Watch asked.
The Education Watch has also suggested for the Service to increase the Call Centre contacts from a minimum of two to a maximum of 10 to handle anticipated concerns of some 150,000 self-placement candidates.
A spokeswoman for the Ghana Education Service (GES) has said adequate measures have been put in place to ensure a difficulty-free placement of the candidates who sat for the BECE for Private and School examination in 2020.
