Unfortunately, there is nothing good you can do to retrieve your damaged or misplaced WAEC WASSCE certificate however the Examinations Council has said it issues an Attestation of results in replacing the lost certificate.
WAEC does not issue duplicate certificates. This means that once your certificate has been given to you by the school you attended there is no way the Council will reissue another certificate when it gets lost or damaged.
It now issues Attestation of Results for WAEC WASSCE certificate that have been misplaced or damaged. The Attestation of the result according to the Examinations Council is as valid as the original lost or damaged certificate.
The Attestation is only issued to individual candidates or persons for their possession. The Attestation when ready must be collected personally by the applicant from the Offices of WAEC in Accra or your region.
