GES gives placement checking date after releasing SHS posting

The 2021 WAEC BECE results have been released online today by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). In this post, we will show you how to easily check yours at the WAEC results checking portal https://eresults.waecgh.org/.

Unfortunately, the Management of the Examinations Council says it has cancelled the subject results of 138 candidates for the offence of either bringing foreign materials into the examination hall or colluding with other candidates.

In a blog post sighted by EducationWeb, the not for the profit-making organization (WAEC) also said the entire results of 46 candidates for the offence of either sending mobile phones into the examination hall or impersonation.

As part of measures to curb exams malpractice, it says the scripts of candidates from 24 schools in certain subjects are undergoing scrutiny. The withheld results it said may be cancelled or released based on the outcome of investigations.

A total of 572,167 candidates representing 287,730 males and 284,437 females entered the national examination. Among the registered candidates, 61 had visual impairment and 321 were identified with hearing impairment.
