The Government of Ghana (GoG) in due course will reduce KIA COVID-19 test cost from $150 to $50, the Dorma Central Member of Parliament and Minister of Health-designate, Kwaku Agyemang Manu has announced.
The President’s representative at the Health Ministry, however, did not indicate the specific date the new COVID-19 test cost takes effect.
“Cost Of Covid-19 Test At KIA To Be Reduced To $50 From $150”, Hon. Kwaku Manu stated in a social media post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh.
Akufo-Addo’s decision to reduce the coronavirus test cost is in line with an agreement by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to cap the cost of testing within the sub-region.
