Covid-19: Ghana receives 350,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines

The Republic of Ghana in the early hours of Friday received 350,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to kick start the second phase of the novel coronavirus vaccination program in a bid to slow the spread of the virus.

According to a post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh, the AstraZeneca vaccines produced by the Covax facility arrived from DR Congo through Istanbul on a Turkish Airline.

Ghanaians including students, teachers and other government officials are expected to be vaccinated with the covid jab as part of measures to slow and curb the spread of the locally transmitted coronavirus in the country.
