His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo has announced Ghana next week will take delivery of about 300,000 coronavirus jabs in a bid to vaccinate 20 million Ghanaians to slow and curb the locally transmitted coronavirus
Nana Akufo-Addo disclosed this in his Easter message to the good people of Ghana on a live Facebook stream monitored by Educationweb.com.gh.
According to him, 600,000 Ghanaians have been injected under Ghana’s vaccine campaign, a move he said is set to continue in the coming weeks.
“We expect that in the course of the coming week, an additional 300,000 coronavirus jabs which we have purchased will have arrived in the country for deployment,” President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo stated.
“Our target is to vaccinate 20 million persons by the end of the year. In other words, the whole adult population of Ghana,” he told Ghanaians.
