The government as part of efforts to slow and curb the spread of the novel virus will start the second phase of the covid-19 inoculation of Ghanaians from May 19, the presidential advisor on health announced Tuesday.
Speaking to Accra-based Asaase Radio monitored by Educationweb.com.gh, Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare said Ghana’s Health Service in due course will communicate a schedule for the second round of the covid-19 vaccination.
“So those who took it, the first 10 days of March are between 10-11 weeks. So, they will be the first to be considered, luckily we have everybody’s database, we have people’s phone number and where they live,” he said.
The Health advisor continued that “so the Ghana Health Service will come out with a schedule and then inform people either through bulk SMS or through announcement on where to go and the time to go.”
According to Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare, the Nana Akufo-Addo led government has designed a special mobile app for those who are eligible for the second jab to be allowed to book for the novel covid-19 inoculation.
