AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab is safe – Akufo-Addo tells Ghanaians

Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo following claims that the Astrazeneca covid-19 jab has been created to wipe out the African race, alter our DNA and embed a tracking device in our body has said the vaccine is safe.

Akufo-Addo in his 24th televised nation’s address on Sunday, February 28, 2021, monitored by Educationweb.com.gh gave an assurance that the first 600,000 consignments of the coronavirus vaccines are safe for human use.

“Taking the vaccine will not alter your DNA, it will not embed a tracking device in your body, neither will it cause infertility in women or in men. As your President, I want to assure you that the vaccine is safe,” He stated.

In other to prove to the good people of Ghana that the Astrazeneca covid-19 jabs are safe, he and the first lady, the Vice President, his wife the Second Lady, will take the vaccine publicly at two (2) health facilities in Accra.

According to His Excellency, key public officials and prominent personalities like the National Chief Imam, the Asantehene, the Ga Mantse, and some media practitioners will also, on Tuesday, take the jab publicly. 

The Monday, March 1, 2021 vaccination exercise he said will help protect Ghanaians against the impact of the locally transmitted coronavirus.

Teachers, students of Senior High School and tertiary institutions who are 18 years and above is expected to be vaccinated at a later date.
