WAEC 2021 BECE for private candidates ends April 16

Prospective students who registered for the 2021 edition of the BECE for Private Candidates will Friday, April 16, 2021, end the five (5) days examination administered by the West African Examinations Council.

The private examination which began Monday, April 12 is expected to end successfully Friday, April 16, 2021, at various exams centres nationwide.

Candidates on Monday wrote English Language and Religious and Moral Education (R.M.E) but will Friday finish with Social Studies (Paper 1 & 2).

The BECE for private candidates examination is mainly for students who are 16 years of age and above and candidates who had sat for the normal Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) but could not pass.

The non-profit-making organization (WAEC) has said it releases the private BECE results in April but amid the outbreak of covid-19 that rescheduled the examination to April, the results are expected to be out May/June 2021.

A staff of the Examinations Council has told Educationweb.com.gh that candidates who will be successful at the examination will qualify for placement into any of the SHSs when the school placements are out in 2022.
