The Deputy Minister for Education, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour says SHS Form 3 who will soon be given the 2021 edition of the WASSCE past questions procured by the government will leave the books for the next batch of finalists.
Speaking in an interview monitored by EducationWeb.com.gh, Ntim Fordjour said effective measures have been put in place to ensure the past questions and answer books are left behind for future use by 2022 WASSCE candidates.
“This time we want the past questions booklet to be a school property, we are putting in a system in place to ensure they become a school property just like the textbooks government procures for them,” the Reverend Minister stated.
This the Deputy Education Minister said will reduce the cost of annual publication of the questions. According to him, the 2021 edition of the WAEC past questions will be from 2015 to 2020 with 457 pages.
The Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government this year has spent GH₵34,862,412 on 446,958 past questions at a unit price of GH₵78 from Messers Kingdom Books and Stationery.
The procurement of the pasco forms as part of the government effort to help the final year SHS students prepare adequately for the WASSCE for School examination conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC)
