2021 BECE Private: WAEC increases subject registration fees

The Management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says this year’s private BECE candidates sitting for 4 or more subjects will pay a non-refundable amount of GH¢ 212.29 as a subject registration fee.
The non-profit-making organization in a blog post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh indicated candidates sitting for 3 subjects will pay GH¢ 193.56, GH¢ 176.40 for 2 subjects and GH¢ 156.11 for 1 subject.

According to the Examinations Council, candidates who after submission of entries wish to make any change’s between 11th January and 28th February 2021 will pay a fixed GH¢ 50.00 for (correction of centre, name, gender, address, picture or substitution of a subject)”, the Council stated.
Penalty Fees
WAEC noted entries made between March 1 and March 19, 2021, will attract the following penalties;

(a) Late Entry: One and a half (1½) times the total entry fee;
(b) Substitution of Subject(s): One and a half (1½) times the subject(s) fee;
(c) Addition of Subject(s): Twice the subject(s) fee;
(d) Correction of name, gender, address, picture or signature: GH¢50.00.
