The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says prospective candidates who sat for the 2020 edition of the WASSCE for Private Candidates and have their results pending do not have issues of examination malpractice.
This comes after some prospective candidates who sat for last year’s WASSCE for Private examination complained their Nov/Dec results are pending when checked at the WAEC results checking portal.
However, a staff of the non-profit-making organization has told Educationweb.com.gh said such candidates may have issues due to inaccurate candidate’s registration details during the registration process.
According to the WAEC official, all the Nov/Dec pending results after all the necessary information have been obtained will definitely be released.
“At this moment, we urge candidates who have results pending to remain calm and be rest assured that WAEC will release the results after the necessary corrections have been done”, he told Okyere Darko George.
The Examinations Council Friday, February 19, 2021, announced the release of the delayed 2020 Nov/Dec results saying it has withheld the entire results of some 401 candidates for their involvement in examination malpractice.
