WAEC ends 2021 private BECE late registration

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Friday, March 19, 2021, ended the private BECE late registration for applicants who are willing to sit for this year’s BECE for Private examination slated for April 12, 2021.

The late private BECE registration comes after the Council ended the normal registration which commenced January 11 to March 1, 2021.

WAEC in a blog post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh scheduled for the private BECE late registration starts March 1, 2021, to 19th March 2021.

According to the Examinations Council, students who are 16 years and above and candidates who had previously sat for the BECE but could not pass are only required to register for the private examination.

First-time sitters of the Private Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) are to provide the date of birth during the registration.

The following are the subjects available to candidates:

  • English Language
  • Ghanaian Language and Culture
  • Social Studies
  • Integrated Science
  • Mathematics
  • Basic Design and Technology
  • Religious & Moral Education
  • Information and Communications Technology
  • French (optional)

The 2021 edition of the BECE for private Candidates examination would be conducted in ten regional capitals of the country on April 12 this year.
