This is because some candidates who sat for the just-ended WASSCE were caught with foreign materials and mobile phones, an act the West African Examinations Council has said is the worst form of examination fraud.

“Teachers involved in malpractice and misconduct during the national examination will also be reported to the Ghana Education Service for administrative sanctions,” a staff of WAEC has told Educationweb.com.gh.

The Ghana Examinations Committee according to the WAEC official is made of representatives from CHASS, GNAT, and other relevant stakeholders.

“The Committee chaired by the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa will give approval for the necessary sanctions to be taken against candidates found culpable,” he stated.

“So WAEC is compiling all the malpractice cases which were recorded during the conduct of the 2021 WASSCE and those that will be detected during the marking of the WASSCE scripts,” he told Okyere Darko George.
