Does WAEC issue certificate for Nov/Dec?

A student has asked Educationweb.com.gh if WAEC issues certificate for Nov/Dec candidates after the conduct of the private examination. Our answer according to the Council is yes, but here is what you need to know.

Just like the WASSCE for School Candidates, the WASSCE for Private candidates (Nov/Dec) is another type of WAEC examination but mainly for students who failed the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

WAEC in a blog post sighted by Educatioweb.com.gh indicated it issues a certificate for Nov/Dec candidates upon request. It said candidates are to request for their it online at https://www.waecgh.org.

However, prospective candidates are to note that the West African Examinations Council produce the certificates once, and so certificates which get lost or damaged after collection are not replaced.

The Council recommends individual candidates who lose their certificates to request for attestation of their results. The results attestation is similar and serves the same purpose as the original certificates.
