WAEC responsible for the conduct of the ongoing examination says it will in due course give a new date to administer the WASSCE for School papers, thus Business Management and Physics papers it rescheduled today amid leakage.
Speaking at a press conference, Mr George Ohene Mantey the Head of Test Administration Division said Auto Mechanics 1 and 2 examination papers would be administered today, September 15, at 1400 hours as scheduled.
“The Physics and Business Management 1 and 2 papers have been rescheduled but Auto Mechanics 1 and 2 examination papers would be administered as scheduled,” the WAEC official told journalist at the press briefing.
The non-profit-making organization (WAEC) as part of efforts to curb examination leakages in the ongoing WASSCE for School says it has Increased inspection and monitoring of the examination at the various centres.
“Some supervisors and invigilators providing services for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) have been withdrawn pending further sanctioning,” Management of the Council disclosed that the press conference.
The postponement of the two papers comes after the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) found out that the examination papers that were scheduled to be administered in the early hours of Wednesday leaked on social media.
“Today’s Physics and Business Management papers have been re-scheduled indefinitely by the West African Examinations Council,” the source close to the Examinations Council told EducationWeb.com.gh today.
Over 446,000 candidates representing 221,437 boys and 234,884 girls from 965 Senior High Schools i.e 651 public schools and 314 private schools in Ghana are partaking in the ongoing international examination.
The international examination which commenced on Monday, August 16, 2021, with the administration of the Visual Art Project Work is expected to end smoothly at 763 examination centres on Friday, October 8, 2021.
