The management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says it will from Monday, October 17, 2022, to Friday, October 21, 2022, commence the conduct of the 32nd BECE for School Candidates nationwide.
The 2022 BECE for School date comes after the not-for-profit-making organization (WAEC) and the management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) meet to decide on a suitable month to administer the national examination.
According to the timetable sighted by EducationWeb, final year prospective Junior High School (JHS) students on Monday, October 17, 2022, will sit for Social Studies and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) students on Friday, October 21, 2022, will end the examination with French (Essay & Objective) across the country.
Ahead of the administration of the 32nd edition of the Basic Education Certificate Examination, the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) says it will commence the registration process from Tuesday May 3, 2022 to Friday June 10, 2022.
WAEC in a statement copied to EducationWeb said only third-year students in various public and private Junior High Schools (JHSs) across the country will be considered for the forthcoming 2022 BECE for School registration.
Explaining the soon to commence 2022 BECE School registration process, the African Examinations Council said May 3 to June 10, 2022, will be used for capturing eligible final year students’ information, subject selection and pictures.
Downloading of CASS software, capturing of candidates’ scores and subsequent uploading of data online the management of the not-for-profit-making organization said will start from June 27, 2022, to August 12, 2022.
According to the Council, the downloading of school choices software, selection of schools and subsequent uploading of data online will also begin on July 4, 2022, and end on September 2, 2022, for all schools across the country.
“Please note that it is extremely important that the correct subjects are selected during the registration exercise. Finalise your registration data only after all corrections have been affected,” WAEC said in the release to school heads.
