WAEC begins 2021 Advance/General business certificate exams

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has commenced the administration of the May/June 2021 edition of the Advance/General business certificate examinations for both school and private candidates in the country.

The business certificate examination which started on Tuesday, September 2, 2021, the Examinations Council in a blog post sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh indicated will end on Thursday, October 7, 2021, for all candidates.

“The GBCE will start on Thursday, September 2, 2021, and end on Thursday, October 7, 2021, whilst the ABCE will also start on Thursday, 6th September 2021 and end on Thursday, 7th October 2021,” the Council stated in the post.

According to the Advance/General business certificate examination timetable, candidates on September 7, 2021, will write Social Studies, Int. Science on September 10, English Language on September 14 and Mathematics on Sept 15.

WAEC from Wednesday, February 3, 2021, to March 31, 2021, began the registration of prospective candidates for the May/June 2021 General/Advanced Business Certificate Examinations for School and Private Candidates.

In a related development, the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, commenced the 2021 edition of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates.

A total of 446,321 candidates representing 221,437 males and 234,884 females from 965 schools i.e 651 public schools and 314 private schools in Ghana are sitting for the ongoing international examination administered at 763 centres.

Prospective candidates have been urged to avoid any form of examination malpractice that could lead to the cancellation of results and abide by the rules and regulations governing the conduct of the WASSCE for School.

“Let me advise all candidates to comply with the rules and regulations of the examination and avoid any form of malpractice which could lead to the cancellation of their results,” a staff of the Council stated at a press briefing.
