The Management of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) following Sunday’s swearing in of Hon John Ntim Fordjour as the Deputy Minister for Education has congratulated him on his new ministerial appointment.
The Mines and Technology University in a social media post sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh wrote “Congratulations to our Alumnus Hon John Ntim Fordjour MP on his appointment as Deputy Minister for Education.”
Rev Ntim Fordjour after the Appointments Committee approved his nomination was sworn into office by President Akufo-Addo on June 26, 2021, to assist the Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum in the education sector.
Expressing the gratitude for his new appointment, the Assin South Member of Parliament said “I’m grateful to the Lord Most High for His exceptional favour and His Excellency Akufo-Addo for the confidence reposed in me.”
“In humility and poise, I do accept the responsibility to serve my country and constituents conscientiously. So help me God,” the Reverend Minister added.
His colleague, Madam Gifty Twum Ampofo was similarly Sunday sworn into office as a Deputy Education Minister to serve in His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s second term government.
