Speaking at the launch, the Deputy Education Minister, John Ntim Fordjour said the Early Childhood Education framework is essential for preparing children aged 4-5 with a solid foundation to excel and urged the Committee to be thorough with their work.
“The policy as much as the Committee is essential for the growth of the child as it will position them well for their primary, secondary and tertiary education and enable them to make meaningful contributions toward nation-building,” he averred.
The University of Education, Winneba is the only University in the country with an Early Childhood Department and mentors the greatest number of Colleges of Education with specialization in Early Childhood Education.
