National Steering Committee for Early Childhood Education (NaSCECE) would offer the needed technical support for the effective implementation of Early Childhood Education and strengthen the sub-sector.

The Framework, developed by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) with UNICEF help, is designed to meet the comprehensive educational needs of kindergarten-aged children.

Speaking at the launch, the Deputy Education Minister, John Ntim Fordjour said the Early Childhood Education framework is essential for preparing children aged 4-5 with a solid foundation to excel and urged the Committee to be thorough with their work.

“The policy as much as the Committee is essential for the growth of the child as it will position them well for their primary, secondary and tertiary education and enable them to make meaningful contributions toward nation-building,” he averred.
