The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has said measures are being put in place to post all qualified trained teachers recruited last year but were not posted to places where services are needed.
Director-General of GES, Prof Opoku Amankwa in an interview with UTV monitored by Educationweb.com.gh said the majority of Diploma teachers recruited were posted last year adding that even though few were left.
He said the Ministry of Finance last year gave his outfit a financial clearance to recruit 6,500 graduates including 2017 and 2018 backlogs.
Prof Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa however gave assurance the Service is working tirelessly to ensure the few unposted trained teachers are posted.
The Director-General of the Education Service noted some university graduates were recruited and posted based on their subject field.
