The National Teaching Council (NTC) says some in-service teachers qualified to be issued the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ghana Education Service (GES) teacher license card are joking with the ongoing registration and licensing exercise.
Speaking in an interview monitored by EducationWeb.com.gh, an NTC official said some teachers in the Greater Accra region instead of uploading a passport size picture intentionally uploaded pictures not related to exercise.
According to him, a qualified teacher uploaded a picture of him eating fufu with Adonko and other unnecessary images on the Teacher Portal Ghana (TPG), an act he urged all teachers eligible to be licensed to refrain from.
“Some teachers are not uploading the appropriate documents, somebody even uploaded his fufu and Adonko and somebody also provided his mother’s picture, so some teachers are not taking the registration and licensing serious” the NTC staff stated.
The Teaching Council June 1, 2021, will commence the issuance of license card which can be used to teach in the country and outside Ghana to all qualified in-service teachers in the Central region.
Teachers in the Central region and other regions yet to be given the National Teaching Council (NTC) teacher license card have been urged to come along with their certificate at the centre.
