The Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) Thursday at Jubilee House expressed their utmost gratitude to teacher trainees to President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government for restoring teacher trainee allowance.
TTAG’s commendation comes after President Akufo-Addo 2017 restored the allowance when the past NDC government led by John Dramani Mahama had cancelled the teacher trainee and nursing trainee allowances.
The teacher trainees speaking to Dr Bawumia said the restoration of the trainee allowance has cushioned many students in teacher training colleges citing that the intervention by the government is “an unforgettable legacy.”
Addressing them, the Vice-President assured the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana of the government’s continuous support and investment in education at all levels, to ensure easy access to Ghanaians.
The group presented a framed portrait of the Vice President to him with an inscription of their unforgettable appreciation of the government’s restoration of teacher trainee allowance.
