The Ministry of Education says SHS Form 3 who refuse to return the government procured past questions and answers booklet after sitting for the 2021 WASSCE examination would not be given clearance for their 2021 WASSCE results.
The Deputy Minister for Education, John Ntim Fordjour speaking in an interview monitored by EducationWeb.com.gh said this forms part of the Ministry effort to ensure the past questions booklets are not stolen or destroyed.
“Unlike last year that they took the WASSCE past questions away, this time we want them to return their copies after they have sat for the examination, next batch of Free SHS students will also benefit from them,” he stated.
Hon. Ntim said heads of public Senior High Schools (SHSs) across the country have been encouraged to ensure that final-year students who finish the forthcoming examination have returned the booklets in a sound condition.
“We have tasked heads of schools to make sure the government property is returned back after the exams, candidates who fail to return the booklets would not be given clearance to receive their respective schools’ results,” John said.
The Assin South MP further disclosed that the government is exploring other technological options for students to access the WASSCE past questions and answers online since Wi-Fi has been installed in the majority of the schools.
“So moving forward, we are considering creating an app or a website for the students to access the WAEC past questions at their own comfortable time ahead of the WASSCE for School examination,” Mr Fordjour noted.
