His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo following tomorrow’s school reopening has urged students to strictly adhere to the safety coronavirus protocols to prevent a possible spread of the novel virus as they return to school.
The President in his 22nd televised address to the nation monitored by Educationweb.com.gh on January 17, 2021, said Heads of institutions and teachers have undergone requisite orientation on COVID-19 guidelines.
“Heads of institutions, as well as their teachers, have undergone the requisite orientation on “Guidelines for school reopening during COVID-19”, to enable them to assist with compliance of students with the protocols”
This Nana Akufo-Addo said forms part of the government’s efforts to ensure kindergarten, primary, Junior high school, SHS 2 and SHS 3 students are safe from the deadly virus as they return to school Janaury 18, 2021.
According to him, alcohol-based hand sanitisers, face masks, liquid soaps, Veronica Buckets, rolls of tissue paper, face shields for learners and staff have been distributed to various schools across the country.
He further advised students to observe the COVID-19 protocols including wearing a face mask at all times and maintain the level of discipline and sense of responsibility to stop the virus from spreading in schools.

“Wash and sanitize your hands regularly. Protect yourself. Protect each other. Protect your teachers. Protect your parents. But, please, do not give me a reason to close down schools again”, Akufo-Addo told day students.
