A staff of Ghana Education Service (GES) following the release of the 2021 school placement has told Educationweb.com.gh a first-year student after the SHS placement enrollment can change school after one academic year
His comment comes after some candidates who sat for last year’s BECE for Private and School asked Educationweb.com.gh if changing their school after they have been placed in selected Senior High Schools is possible.
Commenting on a post, a candidate identified as Derrick Pemboni asked “How can I change my school after SHS placement enrollment.”
Another student by the name of Patrick also quizzed “I want to change my school to boarding since I didn’t choose the school I had”
But, the GES official speaking to Okyere Darko said it will not be possible to change school now, according to him a first-year student can only do that after one academic year, a movement he described as school transfer.
“So for now you can not change school, you can only do that after an academic year, any movement from one school to another after SHS placement enrollment is considered a transfer,” the GES official stated.
Meanwhile, GES has said candidates this time have the opportunity to change a school selected through the self-placement module on the CSSPS websites so long as he or she has not enrolled in that particular school.
