The Ministry of Education (MoE) under the auspices of the Government of Ghana (GoG) has commenced distribution of the 2015-2020 WASSCE past questions booklet procured for final year students preparing to sit for 2021 WASSCE.
Speaking in an interview monitored by EducationWeb.com.gh, the Deputy Education Minister, Rev Ntim Fordjour said the past questions and answer booklet is to assist the final year students in their preparation for the examination.
He said heads of Senior High Schools (SHSs) have been tasked to ensure the students after the conduct of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) return the past questions booklets for future use.
According to Ntim Fordjour, candidates who fail to return their copies of the Government of Ghana (GoG) past questions and answer booklet will not be given clearance to receive their WASSCE for School results.
“This time we want the past questions booklet to be a school property, we are putting in a system in place to ensure they become a school property just like the textbooks government procures for them,” the Reverend Minister stated.
“So it is not a practice that every year, we’re going to print. Because what has been printed this year, covers the period 2015 to 2020. So there’s no point in going to print another set of past questions and examiner’s report next year.”
The up to date ‘controversial’ West African Examinations Council (WAEC) past questions and answer booklet with examiner’s report published by Kingdom Books and Stationery contains 457 pages.
The procurement of the Pasco forms as part of the government effort to help the second batch of Free Senior High School (Free SHS) beneficiaries prepare adequately for the WASSCE for School examination conducted by WAEC.
