Ghana Education Service (GES) following the release of the 2020 SHS placement has said it recorded 184 self-placement enrolments barely 3 minutes after the school placement was released on Sunday, February 28.
Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, the Director-General of the Education Service Service disclosed this speaking on UTV’s Adekye Nsroma show monitored by Educationweb.com.gh with host Mrs Yaa Konama on Monday, March 1.
“The SHS placement was released on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at 12:27 PM, and about 184 candidates did self-placement at exactly 12:30 PM at the CSSPS websites,” the GES official told the host of Adekye Nsroma.
He said the release of the much-awaited SHS placement to the ‘ready and waiting’ candidates on Sunday night by his outfit was in fulfilment of his promise made on the Accra-based United Television (UTV) on Friday.
The self-placement as explained by the Service is when a candidate is given the opportunity to select available schools provided by the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) depending on the grade.
“So, for now, the 2020 SHS placements are released and can be checked at the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) websites using the SHS placement checker card,” Prof Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa stated.
