The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) says plans are underway for the 4th and next batch of Free Senior High School (Free SHS) beneficiaries to print their enrolled school prospectus online at a website.
Professor Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa, the Director-General of GES speaking on UTV’s Adekye Nsroma show monitored by Educationweb.com.gh said this forms part of efforts to slow the spread of the locally transmitted covid-19.
“Due to the covid-19, we wanted every Senior High School (SHS) in the country to publish it’s prospectus online for the students to print and buy the necessary items before even reporting to school,” the GES official stated.
The Director-General said even though the government has installed free Wi-Fi in all Senior High Schools but some school’s Wi-Fi is not functioning properly, a situation he said experts are working to resolve the issue.
“So some schools are tirelessly working on the prospectus project, maybe from next week we will see that some Senior High Schools (SHS) have published their prospectus online,” he told host of Adekye Nsroma show.
Prof Opoku Amankwa however said schools that would not be able to publish their prospectus online for these first-year students will do that later for the 5th batch of the Free Senior High School (SHS) beneficiaries.
