The Headmaster of Prempeh College and other 52 Heads of SHSs in the Ashanti Region have been invited by the Criminal Investigations Department over an alleged Corruption in the school feeding programme.
A purported statement sighted by Educationweb.com.gh to informed the Ashanti regional director of GES about the investigation states the issue is related to the school feeding programme of some SHS in Greater Kumasi.
“Management has received a letter from the CID of the Ghana Police Service, which indicates that they are investigating some issues related to the supply of food items to some of the Senior High Schools in your Region.”
The letter dated April 28, 2021, has requested the A/R Education Director to present the Headmaster/Mistress or the Assistants, Domestic Bursars, Accountants, & Storekeepers of the affected schools to the CID for the probe.
“You are hereby directed to request the respective District Directors of Education to release the Headmaster/Mistress or the Assistants, Domestic Bursars, Accountants and Storekeepers of the attached list of schools to the CID for investigations if requested,” the purported letter stated.
