GNACOPS releases 2022 private schools academic calendar

The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) as the 2021 academic year ends late December this year has released a provisional 2022 private schools academic year calendar for the students in various private schools.
According to the academic timetable sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh, private schools when vacated later December 2021 will in the first term of the next academic year reopen school on January 11, 2022, and vacate on April 22, 2022.
Private school students after the April 22, 2022 vacation will reopen school on May 9, 2022, to commence the second term and vacate again on August 19, 2022. They will reopen on September 7, 2022, to start the third term.
Private Schools in the first term and the second term will spend 15 weeks in school respectively and 16 weeks for the third term of the 2022 academic year. GNACOPS has urged members of the Council to comply with the calendar.

In a related development, the National Executive of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS), Mr Enoch Kwasi Gyetuah has encouraged students aged 15 years to get vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.
His advice comes after the Ghana Education and Health Service as part of measures to slow and curb the spread of the deadly virus in schools announced to inoculate students who are 15 years and above with Pfizer Bio-Tech vaccine.
“We also entreat Private schools Authorities to respect parents and guardians of students who hold certain views on the soon to commence vaccination exercise and address it appropriately,” the GNACOPS Director urged schools.
