Online studies to continue despite 2021 school reopening – GES

The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Professor Kwasi Opoku Amankwa says the online studies (television and radio programme) will still continue to be rolled out when schools reopen on 15th January.

Professor Kwasi Opoku Amankwa disclosed this speaking at a Press Briefing monitored by Educationweb.com.gh on Monday, January 4, 2020.

Ghana’s Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh last year at the National Education Week Celebration also hinted his outfit will continue to roll out the television and radio programmes when schools resume in 2021.

“So students after school will have the opportunity to continue studies at home as they benefit from the programme on selected television and radio stations”, NAPO told Journalist.

According to the GES Director-General, the continuous rollout of the online studies (television and radio programmes) despite the full reopening of schools is to support teaching and learning.
