The Member of Parliament of Karaga, Northern Region, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam as part of his “one teacher one laptop” program Tuesday announced to present laptops to teachers in the Karaga district.
Speaking to a cross-section of teachers in the District, the politician said the program which he launched last year and distributed 50 laptops to some teachers will continue this year with an intensive training for the teachers.
“I launched my “one teacher one laptop” computer program and distributed 50 laptops and accessories to teachers selected in collaboration with GES,” he told the Karaga District teachers adding that “we will continue this year.”
Commenting on the accommodation and condition of work of teachers in the area, Dr. Adam gave assurance to complete the Pishigu SHS which is 95% complete, the Nyong Technical School project which is 80% complete.
“This year, the Anta Scholarship Scheme will continue to support students entering tertiary educational institutions. We must all prioritize the education of our children to empower our communities,” he noted
The Karaga Member of Parliament continued that “President Nana Akufo-Addo has already shown the way through the Free SHS program, and we the servants of our communities must follow this patriotic endeavor.”
