The October teacher licensure examination (GTLE) previously scheduled for Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24, 2021, has been rescheduled to be administered on Monday, October 25 and Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
The new dates come after the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) on behalf of prospective candidates petitioned the Management of the National Teaching Council (NTC) not to conduct the licensure exams on weekends.
TTAG in a statement copied to EducationWeb.com.gh said the adjournment of the examination from the weekend is to enable candidates who are members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church to participate in the licensure test.
“You are also informed that the dates for writing the teacher licensure examination earlier scheduled for October 23 and 24, 2021 has been rescheduled to Monday, October 25 and Tuesday, October 26, 2021,” the Association stated.
This means prospective 2021 GTLE candidates on Monday, October 25, 2021, will write Literacy and Essential Professional Skills and Numeracy on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at various examination centres across the country.
