The National Teaching Council (NTC) says GES teachers recruited after September 1, 2018, and participating in the ongoing number and license registration can now verify their information to complete the registration.
The Teaching Council in a blog post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh says even though it’s experiencing unusual traffic on the Teacher Portal Ghana site https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh but working to resolve the performance issues.
“GES teachers recruited after 1st September 2018 can now verify their information to complete the registration. We are experiencing unusual traffic on the site and working to resolve performance issues,” NTC stated.
The licensing and registration exercise commenced May this year form part of the processes for teacher professionalization to ensure all qualified GES teachers and those in private institutions are licensed as professionals.
Qualified teachers who fail to participate in licensing and registration exercise shall lose their right to practice as teachers in Ghana in accordance with section 64 (I) of the Education Regulatory Bodies Act, 2020, Act 1023.
