NTC in a blog post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh said the decision to expel candidates who defy the new directive is to ensure others sitting for the examination are protected from the locally transmitted coronavirus.
The “removal of face mask at the examination hall” is the last of the 18 examination offenses the National Teaching Council (NTC) has urged prospective candidates to refrain from as the examination begins Thursday.
According to NTC, candidates who remove their nose masks for the first time will be cautioned but will be sacked from the examination hall for subsequent removal in a bid to slow the spread of the deadly virus.
For candidates who show up at the examination centre without a face mask, the Teaching Council has indicated they will be turn out.
