The National Teaching Council (NTC) responsible for licensing and registering teachers in Ghana Wednesday, May 26, 2021, will end the issuance of license card to all qualified in-service teachers in the Greater Accra Region.
The distribution exercise which commenced on May 14, 2021, is expected to end late May 26, 2021, at various licensing and registration centres in the Greater Accra region.
Speaking in an interview monitored by EducationWeb.com.gh, the Registrar of the National Teaching Council (NTC), Dr Christian Addai Poku said his outfit will move to the Central region to issue the license card to qualified teachers.
“We will hopefully on May 26, 2021 end the teacher licensing registration in Greater Accra, so we urge all qualified teachers due to be licensed to visit the Teacher Portal Ghana (https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh) to register for the license card,” Dr Addai Poku stated.
According to him, the Teaching Council (NTC) after the licensing qualified in-service teachers in the Central Region will move to the Western region to issue the license card to all professional teachers.
“So by 2022 every qualified teacher in the country will be licensed and we will have a good database of them, this will help us to know those who are qualified and non-qualified,” the NTC staff told host of the interview, Kwabena Prah.
