The National Teaching Council (NTC) and the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) after the end of the 5-days CCP training have issued a certificate to private school teachers who attended the programme.
The participatory certificate according to the Private Schools Council forms part of efforts to ensure all private school teachers in the country are licensed by the National Teaching Council as professional teachers.
Mr Enoch Kwasi Gyetuah, the National Executive Director of GNACOPS in an interview with Educationweb.com.gh said the jointly issued certificate would serve in the interim as provisional certificate valid for 3 years.
“The participatory certificate would serve in the interim as provisional certificate valid for 3 years but renewable every year through NTC to all those that will receive the training,” Mr Gyetuah told EducationWeb.
Commenting on the just ended CCP training for the private school teachers, the Executive Director said his outfit in collaboration with the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment has been able to train over 1,000 private school teachers ready to enter into the teaching profession.
