N&MC extends nurses, midwives PIN/AIN card renewal deadline

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC) following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus and it’s restriction has proactively extended the deadline for Nurse Assistants, Nurses and Midwives to renew their PIN/AIN card.

N&MC earlier noted Nurse Assistants, Nurses and Midwives who renewed their Professional Identification Numbers and AIN on or before June 30, 2020, are required to pay the full amount of the renewal fees January 2021.

But, it in a statement sighted by Educationweb.com.gh has said the January 2021 deadline has been extended to Wednesday, March 31, 2021, adding that the validity of the PIN/AIN cards has been extended from 3 to 4 years,

According to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Council, all Professional Identification Numbers and Auxilliary Identification Numbers (PIN/AIN) cards with 3-year validity will cease to be valid after March 31, this year.

“There will be no further extension of the current deadline, therefore we encourage all Nurse Assistants, Nurses and Midwives who were unable to meet the initial deadline to renew their cards as soon as possible”, it stated.
