The Management of the Nation Builders Corps as part of the government initiative to address graduate unemployment next academic year will recruit new personnel into the NABCO programme, Akufo-Addo has said.
His comment comes after the NABCO management told trainees that they have just two months to end their 3-year NABCO service. According to the employment contract letter the programme is scheduled to end October this year.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Bar 93.5 FM monitored by EducationWeb.com.gh, Nana Addo said the trainees bringing their 3-year service to an end in October 2021 will pave way for new unemployed graduates to be recruited.
According to him, NABCO trainees of the various Nation Builders Corps modules recruited in 2018 and preparing to end their service will be given permanent employment to reduce the level of unemployment rate in the country.
“Educate Ghana will employ 25,000 personnel, Digital Ghana will take 15,000, Enterprise Ghana will employ 3,500 and Health Ghana will absorb 2,900 personnel among the rest,” His Excellency Akufo-Addo told the radio station.
The current trainees as they end their 3-year NABCO service have been advised by the President of the Republic to take every process they are going through very seriously to enable them to qualify for recruitment into service.
