Former Minister for Education, Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang Tuesday, August 10, 2021, presented a collection of folktales authored by her to Oswald, the 9-year-old boy who not long ago wrote a viral ‘Our Day letter’ to his mother.
The folktales dubbed ‘Who told the most incredible story’ the former UCC Vice-Chancellor in a social media post sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh said is to be put in Oswald’s school library and also used by him and his mates.
“He delighted me with a heartfelt gift, and I, in turn, gave him a collection of folktales that I authored called ‘Who told the most incredible story, to be put in his school library and used by him and his schoolmates,” the Professor stated.
The donation comes after young Oswald and his family Tuesday visited the leading member of the National Democratic Congress at her office to acknowledge her for the support during the just-ended Our Day celebrations.
“I had the pleasure of hosting young Oswald and his family in my office yesterday. His parents brought him to thank me for my support during his school’s Our Day celebrations, but the pleasure was all mine,” the professor noted.
The 2020 Vice Presidential Candidate, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang after Oswald wrote a letter to remind his mother of things to bring for his ‘Our Day’ has promised to buy him the latest iPad Pro he requested in the letter.
“Oswald is such a fascinating and intelligent boy. I am absolutely thrilled by his story. I am immediately sending him the latest iPad Pro fully loaded with educational content just as he wishes,” the politician said on social media.
