Stewart Rhodes is an American political activist and founder of the Oath Keepers, a non-partisan association of current and former military, police, and first responders who pledge to uphold their oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Rhodes is known for his conservative views and strong advocacy for the Second Amendment.
Rhodes was born in 1966 in Nevada and grew up in Arizona. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a degree in psychology and later attended Yale Law School, where he was a member of the Yale Law Journal. After law school, Rhodes worked as a lawyer in Montana and as a freelance writer for various conservative publications.
In 2009, Rhodes founded the Oath Keepers in response to what he saw as the government’s erosion of constitutional rights. The organization’s mission is to educate current and former military, police, and first responders about their oath to defend the Constitution and to encourage them to refuse unconstitutional orders. The Oath Keepers has been involved in a number of controversial activities, such as providing security for businesses during the Ferguson protests and patrolling the border with Mexico.
Rhodes has been a vocal advocate for gun rights and has written extensively on the subject. He believes that the Second Amendment is a crucial safeguard against tyranny and that any attempts to restrict gun ownership are unconstitutional. Rhodes has spoken out against gun-free zones, arguing that they make people more vulnerable to attacks.
Rhodes has also been involved in other conservative causes. He has spoken out against illegal immigration and the federal government’s handling of the situation on the southern border. He has criticized the Affordable Care Act and has called for its repeal. Rhodes has been a supporter of the Tea Party movement and has spoken at Tea Party rallies.
Family and Kids
Stewart Rhodes, the founder of the Oath Keepers organization, is a father of six children with his wife, Tasha Adams. Among their offspring are Dakota Adams, Sequoia Adams, and Sedona Adams. However, little information is available about the other three children, as they are still minors. Dakota Adams, the oldest son, was born in 1999 at home in Kalispell, Montana. As of 2023, he is 24 years old.
Stewart Rhodes is the father of two daughters, Sedona Adams and Sequoia Adams. Sedona was born in 2000 and Sequoia was born in 2004. According to Sequoia, all three of them were born at home because her parents didn’t have a car and her mother, Tasha, was not mobile. Despite his wife’s pregnancy, Stewart claimed he was too busy with work to be of any assistance.
The Adams family’s experience living with Stewart Rhodes was far from pleasant. Although they were homeschooled, Stewart only ever taught them about the American Revolution, with a fixation that bordered on the obsessive. According to Sedona, one of the daughters, Stewart would preach about the importance of history but would never discuss anything other than the American Revolution.
However, the problems with Stewart Rhodes went far beyond his narrow-minded approach to education. The Adams children claim that they and their mother suffered various forms of abuse while living with him. Faced with this situation, the family eventually decided to plot their escape and improve their lives.
