Former Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for the Manhyia South Constituency, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh Friday, July 9, 2021, donated furniture to selected basic schools and one Senior High School in his constituency.
The donation included 52 hexagonal tables for KG, 300 Chairs for KG, 510 Mono desks for JHS, 300 dual desks for primary schools, and 400 foreign desks For Serwaa Nyarko Girls Senior High School.
NAPO’s presentation came on the back of requests from the schools through the Metro Directory of the Ghana Education Service (GES). He urged the heads of beneficiary schools to ensure proper care of the items.
The Manhyia South Member of Parliament and Minister for Energy also encouraged all schools in the constituency not to relent on their efforts but continue to be the best in the region and strive to be the best nationwide.
Dignitaries present at the short ceremony included Mr David Oppong- Metro Director – GES, Mr Martin Addis Fordjour- Head of Supervision GES, Kumasi, Mr Asante Twum Albert, Mr Peter Gyemfi- Head of Supply and Logistics, Nana Yeboah Asiamah- PRO, GES, Kumasi Metro All heads of basic schools in the constituency.
